Title: Nathan's Gift
Characters: Generally just Wee!Peter.
Notes: This is just a small fictlet to accompany the art. I drew the picture of Wee!Peter during a boring reading lesson one day. Later I scanned it and coloured it on the computer.
Peter loved his stuffed rabbit. It had been Nathan's present, given to him since he was a few hours old and fresh out of the incubator. Nathan had actually just told the driver to stop at the first baby's supplies store they passed on the way to the hospital from school and conveniently pulled out the first toy in his path, hoping that the gesture would please his mother and father. Peter had latched onto the doll almost as soon as he recieved it, small fragile fingers wrapping themselved neatly around one rabbit ear, as if he was born with such an attachment in the first place.
As Peter grew, the rabbit became his best friend, his comfort in the scary world of monsters and nightmares. Many times his parents tried to force the rabbit away, he needed to "grow up" they would say, but Peter was adamant.
He needed Rabbit, because when things got scary, Rabbit was always there, reminding him that he had a big brother who was a hero, and would fight away all the scary things in the world.
